Maha: Hearing in defamation case against Rahul Gandhi adjourned

Pune, Oct 1 (UNI) The hearing of the criminal defamation case against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi over his alleged defamatory remarks against late Vinayak Damodar Savarkar was adjourned today.
The case is being heard before the Special MP-MLA Court in Pune, presided over by Judge Amol Shinde.
Advocate Milind Pawar, appearing for Rahul Gandhi, has been cross-examining complainant Satyaki Savarkar. Advocate Sangram Kolatkar is representing the complainant.
During the previous hearing, the cross-examination covered various issues related to the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi, assassin Nathuram Godse and his brother Gopal Godse, and interviews given by Gopal Godse and his wife Sindhu Godse.
According to the defence lawyer, Satyaki Savarkar acknowledged during the cross-examination three video interviews of Gopal Godse and confirmed that they featured his grandfather. The defence also referred to statements allegedly made in the interviews concerning the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi.
Questions were also raised regarding the alleged association of Nathuram Godse and Gopal Godse with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), as well as Gopal Godse's later interviews. UNI SP
