Maha: Like-minded parties protest against Modi, Shah; demand their resignations

Dhule, Oct 13 (UNI) Leaders and workers of several like-minded political parties took to the streets today in Dhule to protest against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and union Home Minister Amit Shah, demanding their resignations.
The protesters took out a march from the statue of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar to the District Collector’s office and raised slogans against the Central Government.
The protesters alleged that the police prevented the District Collector from accepting their memorandum when the march reached the Collector’s office. Angered by the alleged obstruction, the protesters pasted the memorandum directly onto the Collector’s vehicle to register their protest.
The opposition parties accused Modi and Shah of creating an atmosphere of chaos in the country and engaging in unconstitutional actions. Similar protests are reportedly being organised across the country against the two leaders.
In Dhule, the Shiv Sena (UBT), Congress, Sharad Pawar-led Nationalist Congress Party, Sambhaji Brigade, Satyashodhak organisations, Vanchit Bahujan Aaghadi, Bahujan Samaj Party and other like-minded groups came together to launch a protest against the Central Government.
The march began at the statue of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar and culminated at the District Collector’s office, where the participants demanded the resignations of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and union Home Minister Amit Shah. The protesters raised strong slogans against the Central Government.
Among those present were Atul Sonawane, Narendra Pardeshi and Nimba Marathe from the Shiv Sena (UBT); Siddharth Jagdev from Satyashodhak; Shankar Kharat from Vanchit Bahujan Aaghadi; Siddharth Pererav and Raj Chavan from the Bahujan Samaj Party; Hemant Bhadak and Manoj Patil from the Sambhaji Brigade; and Santosh Mistri and Dhiraj Patil from the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS), along with hundreds of office-bearers and activists from various like-minded organisations.
