Mumbai, June 23 (UNI) Police have arrested a man who was driven by suspicions of his wife's infidelity, allegedly strangled her in front of their children in Goregaon area of the city, officials said here on Monday.

According to details, the man, a resident from Bhagat Singh Nagar in Goregaon (W), murdered his wife this morning due to suspicions about her fidelity.

As per police sources, once they got information regarding this brutal act, Mumbai Police promptly acted on a tip-off and located the suspect in the Ram Mandir area, where he was arrested. Once apprehended, the suspect was placed under arrest.

According to reports, the Bangur Nagar police have filed a case of murder under applicable sections of the BNS (Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita) and are investigating the issue further.
