Maha: Manoj Jarange targets Fadnavis, alleges conspiracy to defame him through women’s group

Parbhani, Nov 2 (UNI) Following political controversy over Rs 500 crore audio clip, Maratha reservation activist Manoj Jarange Patil today made sensational allegations against Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, saying that a group of women is being mobilised to target him.
Claiming that some women had met CM Fadnavis, he alleged that efforts were being made to create a group to act against him. He expressed his readiness to produce evidence if the Chief Minister asked him to substantiate his allegations. He also referred to the Chief Minister's Officer on Special Duty (OSD) while making the allegations.
Jarange further targeted Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde without directly naming him, alleging that a person whom they had strongly supported and helped elevate him politically was now conspiring against them.
"We carried him on our shoulders and enhanced his stature. Now the same person is plotting against us," he said in an apparent reference to Shinde. He also expressed regret over having helped the unnamed leader reach a position of prominence.
Issuing a warning, Jarange said, "I do not target the person who carries out the act, but the person who gets it done."
His latest remarks have triggered fresh political speculations and intensified the ongoing war of words between the Maratha reservation activist and the ruling establishment. UNI SP SS
