Maha: NTKMA seeks corporate partnerships for Simhastha Mahakumbh 2027

Nashik, Oct 23 (UNI) The Nashik Trimbakeshwar Kumbh Mela Authority (NTKMA) has initiated efforts to involve corporate organisations in preparations for Simhastha Mahakumbh 2027 through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, technological solutions and sustainable community development projects.
The authority had organised the Simhastha Partners – CSR CEO Meet on Wednesday, which brought together corporate representatives and senior officials to explore partnerships in healthcare, sanitation, waste management, environmental protection, digital technology and public amenities.
NTKMA Commissioner Shekhar Singh and Additional Commissioner Pramod Pawar attended the meeting, which focused on encouraging companies to contribute not only financial assistance but also technical expertise, innovative solutions and professional capabilities to strengthen arrangements for the millions of devotees expected to visit Nashik and Trimbakeshwar.
Emphasising the importance of collective responsibility, Commissioner Singh said corporate participation could play a significant role in improving facilities for pilgrims and creating lasting benefits for local communities.
He said the administration was encouraging companies to share their expertise, experience and innovative solutions to develop effective partnerships that would support the Mahakumbh preparations and contribute to long-term development.
The meeting identified several areas for corporate participation, including healthcare and emergency medical services, cleanliness, waste management, drinking water facilities, environmental protection, green initiatives, digital technology, women's empowerment and livelihood generation.
The administration also highlighted the potential of technology-driven solutions to improve pilgrim safety, enhance public services and address the logistical challenges associated with managing a large-scale religious gathering.
NTKMA is seeking to move beyond conventional financial contributions by encouraging companies to offer practical solutions and specialised expertise to address the specific requirements of the Mahakumbh.
Additional Commissioner Pramod Pawar stressed the need to align corporate initiatives with the administration's priorities and ensure effective coordination and implementation.
He said the Simhastha Partners initiative would provide a platform for industry and the administration to jointly identify practical solutions in priority sectors, with emphasis on transparency, accountability and measurable outcomes.
A key objective of the initiative is to ensure that corporate social responsibility projects undertaken for Simhastha Mahakumbh 2027 continue to benefit the region even after the event concludes.
Investments in public amenities, environmental conservation, technology-enabled services and community welfare could provide lasting benefits to residents of Nashik and Trimbakeshwar.
The meeting also enabled corporate representatives to exchange ideas and explore potential areas of collaboration with the administration.
Through the Simhastha Partners initiative, NTKMA aims to establish a collaborative framework bringing together industry, innovation and public administration to strengthen Mahakumbh preparations while supporting the sustainable development of Nashik and Trimbakeshwar.
