Pune, June 12 (UNI) The special MP-MLA court here on Thursday adjourned the hearing of defamation case filed against Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi till July three, after his lawyer sought more time to submit the material referred by his client in his speech during the next hearing.
Judge Amol Shriram Shinde is hearing the case against Rahul Gandhi for allegedly making defamatory statements against Swatantryaveer Vinayak Damodar Savarkar in his London speech.
Gandhi's lawyer Advocate Milind Pawar said today that during the proceedings, the complainant requested the court that the defence be ordered to submit the said book referred by Rahul Gandhi in his London speech.
Following which, Adv Pawar filed an application seeking additional time to present next round of arguments, which was granted by the court.
Adv Pawar added that the court granted him time to file the defence's reply and fixed next hearing of the case on July three.
