Maha: Three-yr-old female leopard caught near Dindori

Nashik, June 2 (UNI) A three-year-old female leopard was caught in a cage on Monday at the Jadhav settlement near Dindori.
According to the forest department, a child was killed in a leopard attack on the Jadhav settlement near Dindori on May 31. Due to this, the Forest Department had set up a cage here.
Similarly, teams were sent to search for the leopard. After this, a leopard was trapped in the cage at the place where the body of Rudra Amol Jadhav was found last night.
The leopard trapped in the cage is a female and is three years old. Therefore, it is not possible to confirm whether it was the same female or another leopard that killed Rudra, who was killed.
The Forest Department has taken the leopard along with the cage into custody and has sent it to a veterinary clinic in Nashik for treatment.
Meanwhile, Forest Department officer Ashok Kale is monitoring the situation. The villagers said that the leopards are still roaming around, and last night, a woman saw two leopards near the house of Sham Vishnu Jadhav.
