Mahayuti won't last, Shinde camp splintering: Sanjay Raut's multi-pronged attack on ruling government

Mumbai, Nov 4 (UNI) Mounting a blistering attack on the ruling Mahayuti government and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Shiv Sena (UBT) leader and MP Sanjay Raut on Wednesday claimed that Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde's party has fractured into three distinct factions, with leaders from two of those groups secretly reaching out to his party.
Addressing a press conference here, Raut alleged that internal unrest within the ruling alliance has reached a boiling point and predicted that both constituent parties of the coalition will not survive for long.
"Ajit Pawar's party will collapse first. As for Eknath Shinde's party, there is immense restlessness. Three 'Eknath Shindes' (factions) have emerged within the party—one is being backed by Devendra Fadnavis, while another is getting strength from Amit Shah. Interestingly, two of these factions have made contact with us, expressing regret over changing political tides," Raut stated.
Training his guns on the state's law and order situation, the Sena (UBT) leader cited security threats to high-profile figures, including megastar Amitabh Bachchan and actor Tiger Shroff.
"Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has to step out like a helpless individual inside a bulletproof glass enclosure, while actor Tiger Shroff receives extortion threats from the Bishnoi gang. In Maharashtra, only a few leaders with Z-plus security are safe. The Chief Minister and Home Minister should be ashamed of this state of affairs, but they are busy playing politics over the Gokul milk union," he alleged.
Speaking on the Gokul Milk union elections, Raut emphasised that the progressive panel led by Congress leader Satej Patil secured a clear majority by winning 13 out of 25 seats. He accused the BJP of disrespecting the public mandate by attempting to bring in four expert directors through new legislation to forcefully take over the union and hand it over to Amul. He added that the farmers of Maharashtra had successfully foiled this attempt.
Raut also defended actress Dia Mirza over her statements regarding firecrackers and environmental pollution, asserting that she never targeted Hindu festivals. He accused the BJP of deliberately stoking communal tensions over her remarks and slammed the local civic body for acting in defiance of the High Court.
Slamming the state government's financial assistance of Rs 5,000 for drought-affected farmers, Raut termed it a pittance. "Are the Chief Minister and his family travelling in autorickshaws? Their ministers and MLAs ride in luxury cars belonging to contractors. Five thousand rupees is a pittance. Had Devendra Fadnavis been in the opposition today, he would have created a massive uproar over this five thousand times over," he added. UNI NEP NST
