Man dies after relief packages dropped from helicopter hit him in Saran

Chhapra, Oct 2 (UNI) A 59-year-old man died after two relief material packages dropped from a helicopter for flood victims fell on him in Parshurampur village under Amanour police station in Saran district on Friday.
Police said here that one Anil Kumar Singh, resident of Parshurampur village, was standing among people waiting to collect the relief material being air-dropped for flood-affected people.
The police said that two packages fell on his head and chest following which he died on the spot.
On receiving information about the incident, police reached the spot and sent the body to Sadar Hospital for post-mortem examination.
Police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the incident, the sources added.
