Manipur Police intensifies crackdown on vehicle theft cases

Imphal, June 25 (UNI) Manipur Police have managed to arrest a vehicle lifter, identified as BM Aziz Hashmir of Lilong Hangamthabi, Thoubal District, from the inter-village road near his residence, police said today.

From his possession, a blue two-wheeler without a registration number was recovered. Two other vehicles which were stolen were also recovered from different areas during the last 24 hours, police added.

Manipur Police also issued 49 challans to motor vehicle offenders, amounting to a total of Rs 90,500. Tinted films were also removed from various vehicles.
