Mathura death case: New CCTV footage emerges as Police probe intensifies

Mathura, Oct 5 (UNI) The investigation into the suspicious death of Rasik Dulari Sharan, alias Deepak Lodhi, a disciple of Vrindavan-based saint Premanand Maharaj, has intensified after additional CCTV footage related to the incident surfaced on Monday.
The newly emerged footage reportedly shows Rasik Dulari Sharan walking through a gallery and heading towards the terrace shortly before the incident. Earlier CCTV footage had shown him on the terrace and subsequently falling from the rooftop.
According to information available so far, the deceased, identified as Deepak Lodhi, had taken initiation from Premanand Maharaj and was subsequently given the name Rasik Dulari Sharan. He was living at an ashram in Vrindavan and was engaged in devotional activities.
Police are examining the CCTV footage along with the post-mortem and forensic reports to establish the circumstances surrounding the death.
There have also been unverified allegations concerning injuries sustained by the deceased before his fall. Despite numerous videos of the incident surfacing and serious allegations being made, the local police have yet to file an FIR in this case.
The circumstances and motive have not been established by investigators, and the allegations should not be treated as confirmed facts until supported by forensic or police findings.
Family members and local residents have reportedly raised questions over the handling of the case and the status of an FIR. Police officials, meanwhile, have said that the matter is under investigation and that evidence is being examined to determine what happened.
The investigation is ongoing, and further findings from the police and forensic examination are awaited.
