Miley Cyrus reveals trailer for visual album 'Something Beautiful' ahead of cinematic release

Los Angeles, May 22 (UNI) Miley Cyrus has revealed the official trailer for her forthcoming visual album 'Something Beautiful', set to premiere in cinemas for a limited release this summer.
Billed as a 'one-of-a-kind cinematic experience', the film will be shown in theatres across North America for one night only on June 12, followed by an international rollout on June 27 through Trafalgar Releasing and Sony Music Vision. The world premiere will take place earlier in the month at the Tribeca Film Festival on June 6.
Produced by Cyrus in partnership with XYZ Films and visionary filmmaker Panos Cosmatos — known for cult titles 'Mandy' and 'Beyond the Black Rainbow' — 'Something Beautiful' blends narrative cinema, high fashion, and pop music into a single immersive project. The film is co-directed by Cyrus, Jacob Bixenman and Brendan Walter, with celebrated cinematographer Benoît Debie behind the lens.
"'Something Beautiful' is my dream project come true — fashion, film and original music coexisting in harmony," Cyrus said in a statement, reports Deadline. "My co-creators are all geniuses in their own right: from the masters of sound, Shawn Everett and Alan Meyerson, to one of cinema’s most unique directors, Panos Cosmatos serving as a producer. Each collaborator has used their expertise to make this fantasy a reality."
Coinciding with the film's release is Cyrus’ new album of the same name, due out May 30 via Columbia Records. The 13-track record features collaborations with supermodel Naomi Campbell and Brittany Howard of Alabama Shakes.
Described as a "one-of-a-kind pop opera fuelled by fantasy", the film showcases all 13 tracks from the album, forming a stylised visual narrative that brings together elements of science fiction, glam rock, and cultural commentary.
The project marks a return to high-concept artistry for Cyrus, who has continued to evolve musically and visually since her early days as a Disney star.
Speaking to Harper’s Bazaar in November, she likened the album to a more vibrant, fashion-forward take on Pink Floyd’s classic: "My idea was making 'The Wall,' but with a better wardrobe and more glamorous and filled with pop culture… It’s a concept album that’s an attempt to medicate somewhat of a sick culture through music."
With a team of seasoned collaborators and a flair for reinvention, 'Something Beautiful' appears to position Cyrus at the centre of the pop-art vanguard — a hybrid of image, sound and spectacle.
