Monsoon session of Bengal Assembly to begin on Monday

Kolkata, June 8 (UNI) The monsoon session of the West Bengal Legislative assembly will begin on Monday (June 9).
The house is scheduled to introduce a resolution on the 2nd day in honour of the heroes of "Operation Sindoor" launched by the Indian Armed Forces against the terrorists after terrorists shot dead 26 people at Pahalgam on April 22, in Jammu and Kashmir.
Speaker Biman Banerjee is expected to table the resolution to honour the Indian armed forces.
An all-party meeting and a Business Advisory Committee meeting were held on Thursday in the chamber of Assembly Speaker Biman Banerjee for the smooth conduct of the Assembly.
While several senior leaders from the ruling Trinamool Congress were present, the main opposition Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was absent from the meetings.
The session will begin with obituary references on the first day and in the subsequent days key issues to be raised and discussed, according to the assembly sources.
