NCP(SP) chief Sharad Pawar advices state govt to drop its insistence on Hindi

Satara, June 26 (UNI) Nationalist Congress Party (NCP-Sharad Pawar) chief Sharad Pawar today suggested to the state government that it should drop its insistence on making Hindi subject compulsory in primary schools up to the fifth standard.
Talking to reporters here this evening, Pawar said one has to consider how much Hindi children can absorb at a certain age. Therefore Hindi should not be made compulsory in primary education.
"One should look closely at AI (Artificial Intelligence) because AI has benefits and we should ensure that children from ordinary families also get AI education, which benefits agriculture, industry and education and the central government has already approved AI," he said.
On the upcoming local self-government elections, Pawar said that a meeting of Maharashtra Vikas Aghadi alliance partners will be held on June 30 in Mumbai to discuss on this issue and would take decision collectively.
In Israel -Iran war, Pawar said India should have to take clear stand on this issue and added that there was no any wisdom to raise emergency issue while then prime minister Indira Gandhi had seek forgiveness publicly after emergency and it was fact that a party was in power, which opposed emergency.
