Need to inculcate culture of cybersecurity, focus on protection of data: Quick Heal's Sanjay Katkar

Pune, July 3 ( UNI) Cybersecurity has become a crucial topic today, and therefore in the future, there is a need to inculcate a culture of cybersecurity everywhere, and focus is needed in order to keep our data safe, said Sanjay Katkar, Co-founder of Quick Heal Technologies.
He was speaking at the 26th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Software Exporters Association of Pune (SEAP).
The annual General Meeting, organized by the Software Exporters Association of Pune (SEAP) was held in Pune.
The meeting featured the keynote address by Sanjay Katkar, Co-founder and Joint Managing Director of Quick Heal Technologies. He shared insights from his entrepreneurial journey, the evolving landscape of cybersecurity, and the growing challenges in the digital age.
The other Dignitaries present at the program included President of SEAP Shivraj Sable, Shivesh Vishwanathan, Vice President, SEAP, Vidyadhar Purandare, Secretary Seap, Anand Ranade Treasurer and Executive committee including Past President Vinita Gera, Ramaprasad S, Nitin Deshpande, Ashutosh Parasnis, Abhijit Atre, were also present among others.
Cybersecurity is becoming more and more important with each passing day, and hence, everyone needs to pay close attention to it. More focus is required on keeping our data safe.
"Cyber thieves may steal information and use it for other purposes. In recent times, incidents such as ransomware attacks, data extortion, business email compromise, and fraud through the use of AI technology have been occurring. Cyber fraud worth approximately rupees 7,000 crore has occurred in Maharashtra so far, so everyone must take more precautions", said Katkar.
He further stated, "The use of AI technology is increasing. In the coming time, its use in cybersecurity can also be implemented, which may help in simplifying work. Along with software companies, people working in various sectors need to keep their software systems regularly updated, use strong passwords, provide cybersecurity training to employees, and share more knowledge about security to enhance awareness—all of which are necessary efforts."

No proposal for bank loan for beneficiaries of Majhi Ladki Bahin yojna: Minster Takare
