New Collectorate should instil confidence among poor: Telangana CM Revanth Reddy

Karimnagar, Sep 30 (UNI) Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Wednesday said the newly inaugurated Karimnagar Collectorate should become a place where poor and vulnerable people can approach the government with confidence and find solutions to their problems.
Speaking after inaugurating the new Collectorate Complex and Telangana Thalli statue in Karimnagar, Revanth Reddy said government employees were the representatives responsible for delivering welfare schemes and services to people.
He urged officials to treat those seeking government assistance as members of their own families and work with empathy to ensure justice.
He said the government had been addressing employees' issues one by one and would continue resolving problems with their cooperation.
The Chief Minister said the newly constructed complex would provide better facilities to employees serving the public and called for mutual cooperation to strengthen public confidence in the government.
On Centre-state relations, Revanth Reddy said the state would continue working with the Centre to secure necessary permissions for development projects.
He said the government had secured the transfer of 170 acres of defence land for state development within six months and obtained permissions for a road passing beneath the Begumpet airport runway.
He said differences in political ideologies should not come in the way of development and stressed the need to approach the Centre whenever necessary to resolve issues.
Revanth Reddy said he would conduct another comprehensive review of development in Karimnagar district.
Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar, TPCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud, Ministers Ponnam Prabhakar, Adluri Laxman Kumar, Duddilla Sridhar Babu, Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy and Tummala Nageswara Rao, along with MLAs, MLCs, corporation chairpersons and senior officials, attended the programme.
