Amazon great indian Festival opens to a historic start

Pune, Oct 14 (UNI) The Amazon Great Indian Festival 2026 is off to a historic start, recording over 440 million visits in the first two days – the highest ever in the history of Amazon.in. Customers are ordering 100% more products year-on-year, with close to 100% growth in new customers, as premiumisation takes centre stage across categories.
Alongside this premiumisation wave, value commerce is emerging as a clear trend. Amazon Bazaar, Amazon’s value shopping experience with over 3 crore products priced under INR 500, has recorded a 2.5X spike in orders during the opening hours of the festival (vs a regular business day).
Additionally, Pune has emerged as one of the fastest growing cities in Maharashtra for Amazon Bazaar, reflecting strong demand for affordable and reliable products across Maharashtra and Bharat.
Commenting on the announcement, Abhimanyu Kothari, Product Head – Amazon Bazaar, Amazon India, said: “This Amazon Great Indian Festival, we’re seeing clear trends in premiumisation and value commerce.
