Anil Reddy Vennum unanimously elected AIPMA president

Hyderabad/Mumbai, Oct 1 (UNI) Hyderabad-based industrialist Anil Reddy Vennum has been unanimously elected President of the All India Plastics Manufacturers Association (AIPMA) for a one-year term, becoming the first Telugu person to head the 81-year-old national trade body.
Vennum, who formally assumed charge in Mumbai today, said his tenure would focus on restoring public confidence in plastics, strengthening recycling and circularity, boosting exports and improving the competitiveness of MSMEs.
AIPMA, established in 1945, represents over 22,000 members across 175 cities, with nearly 90 per cent of its membership comprising MSMEs. During his tenure, Vennum plans to promote responsible use and recycling of plastics, explore a Plastic Waste-to-Value Mission, work with municipalities on plastic waste management and launch a national recycling and circular economy challenge.
He also identified exports, Plastic Parks, integrated industry clusters, technology adoption, skill development and international quality standards as key priorities. Vennum said the industry must demonstrate that plastics and environmental responsibility can go together.
Vennum is Technical Director of Nayastrap Pvt. Ltd., Hyderabad, and a former president of FTAPCCI. He has also served on AIPMA’s managing committee and various industry and government advisory bodies.
