Bihar CM instructs officials to expedite land acquisition for industrial projects

Patna, Oct 16 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary today directed officials to expedite land acquisition for industrial projects and ensure timely compensation to landowners to accelerate industrial development and attract investment to the state.
Chairing a review meeting of the Industries Department, the Chief Minister reviewed industrial development initiatives, investment opportunities and the implementation of ongoing projects.
Industries Department Secretary Kundan Kumar made a presentation on the state''s industrial policy, departmental programmes, the status of land acquisition for industrial purposes in various districts and investment-related initiatives.
Choudhary directed all district magistrates to speed up land acquisition for industrial projects and ensure that compensation to landowners was paid without delay.
He said the availability of land and essential infrastructure, along with a conducive environment for investors, was among the government''s priorities to accelerate industrial growth in Bihar.
The Chief Minister stressed that procedures related to the establishment and expansion of industries should be completed within stipulated timelines to encourage investment, generate employment opportunities and strengthen the state''s economy.
He also called for expediting departmental work, improving coordination among the concerned authorities and ensuring the implementation of industrial development schemes within prescribed deadlines.
