Indoor shooting range to be constructed in Nalanda with expenses of Rs 24 cr: Dy CM

Patna, June 1 (UNI) Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary on Sunday said that an indoor shooting range would be constructed with expenses of Rs 24 crore in Nalanda district of Bihar.
Chaudhary said here that vacant land in Kalyan Bigaha village of Nalanda District would be utilised for the construction of an indoor shooting range, with expenses of Rs 24 crore. Administrative approval for the construction of an indoor stadium had already been given, he informed.
"An indoor shooting range of 10 m is already there in Kalyan Bigha, the native village of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar," the Deputy Chief Minister said, adding that the 10-m indoor shooting range in Kalyan Bigaha was considered the second best in the country. With the construction of 25-metre and 50-metre indoor shooting ranges in Kalyan Bigaha village, it would become a complete unit, and no player would be required to go outside Bihar for practice, he added.
"Ten metres indoor shooting range was inaugurated by Chief Minister Kumar on May 14, 2011," Chaudhary said, adding that on January 1, 2017, a 35-lane shooting range was also inaugurated by the Chief Minister.
"The shooting range in Kalyan Bigaha is equipped with the latest technology, and an automatic scoreboard is also there for the convenience of players and spectators," the chief minister said, adding that it was the best after the shooting range of Bhopal.
The Bihar government was committed to promote sports of all disciplines in the state, he stressed.
