Sand sculpture at Puri beach marks PM Modi’s 25 years in public service

Bhubaneswar, Oct 6 (UNI) Internationally acclaimed sand artist and Padma Shri awardee Sudarsan Pattnaik on Tuesday created a 10-ft-high and 20-ft-wide sand sculpture at Puri Beach to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s completion of 25 years in public service.
The sculpture carries the message, “25 years of public service — the spirit of service, Modi Ji’s vision for Viksit Bharat,” and depicts themes of public service, leadership, national development and the vision of a developed India.
Pattnaik said the artwork symbolises Prime Minister Modi’s journey from Gujarat to the national stage and highlights the significance of his 25-year milestone in public life. The sculpture was created with the support of students from the Sudarsan Sand Art Institute.
The sand artist said Prime Minister Modi’s journey in public service began in 2001 when he became the Chief Minister of Gujarat. After serving the state for more than 12 years, Modi became the Prime Minister of India in 2014.
“From Gujarat to the national stage, his journey through 2026 marks 25 years of public service, leadership and national development,” Pattnaik said, adding that these milestones have been reflected through the special sand artwork.
Pattnaik also extended his heartfelt respect and best wishes to Prime Minister Modi on completing 25 years in public service. He expressed hope that Modi’s journey ahead would continue to inspire the spirit of service and the vision of Viksit Bharat.
The sand artist, who has represented India at more than 65 international sand sculpture championships and festivals, has earned global recognition for his artistic excellence.
He has also used sand art as a medium to promote cultural heritage and raise awareness about issues including climate change, plastic pollution, public health and global peace.
