BJP to tell every Mizoram household: ‘These are Modi’s schemes, not state government’s’

Aizawl, June 5 (UNI) The BJP’s Mizoram unit has launched a state-wide campaign to reach every household with a clear message — the benefits they have received under various welfare schemes are due to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, not the state government.
At a workshop held in Aizawl on Thursday to commemorate 11 years of the Modi-led government at the Centre, BJP leaders said the party will intensify efforts to make beneficiaries of central schemes aware of the source of their benefits.
“This is a crucial task for us,” said Mizoram BJP president Vanlalhmuaka. “We must ensure that people realise that the roads, rail connectivity, gas connections, housing, water supply, toilets, and farmer assistance they now enjoy are the result of Modi’s vision — not the state government’s.”
The workshop was held at the state party office and chaired by state vice president Vanupa Zathang, with Dr K Beichhua, MLA and Core Group member, delivering the welcome address. Kamakhya Prasad Tasa, BJP MP from Assam, addressed the gathering via video conference, while Vanlalhmuaka delivered the keynote speech.
Vanlalhmuaka highlighted infrastructure and social welfare schemes implemented by the BJP-led Centre in Mizoram, including the construction of over 50,000 houses under PMAY, free gas connections to more than 40,000 households, improved road and rail connectivity, water supply, health insurance of up to Rs 5 lakh under Ayushman Bharat, and support for farmers under PM-Kisan.
“These benefits have reached people in every corner of the state. Now it’s time to make them aware that these are Modi’s gifts,” he said.
MP Tasa added that from June 9 to 21, BJP workers will conduct a campaign across all districts of Mizoram to inform citizens about the Centre’s anti-poverty initiatives and the Modi government’s “clean record” on corruption. He said this was an important part of the 11-year milestone celebrations of the Modi government.
“The people must know that the development they see around them stems from Modi’s governance and not from local state initiatives,” Tasa said.
