Major fire breaks out at popular garment warehouse in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar, June 26 (UNI) A major fire broke out at Maa Tarini Bastralaya, a popular garment warehouse located at Kalpana Square in the state capital, leaving one person seriously injured and causing extensive damage to garments worth lakhs of rupees.

According to police sources, the fire occurred last night. Rakesh Sahu, an employee of the outlet, sustained severe burns and was immediately shifted to Capital Hospital for treatment.

The two-storied godown suffered significant damage as the flames spread rapidly. Fire tenders were rushed to the spot after local residents reported smoke billowing from the warehouse.

While the exact cause of the fire is yet to be determined, preliminary investigations suggest that a short circuit might have triggered the blaze, reducing clothes and garments stored in the warehouse to ashes.
