Gopalpur Industrial Park emerging as a hub for green hydrogen

Bhubaneswar, June 2 (UNI) Tata Steel Special Economic Zone’s Gopalpur Industrial Park (GIP) is rapidly emerging as a hub for green hydrogen, green ammonia, and green energy equipment manufacturing.
Under the National Green Hydrogen Mission, GIP is expected to contribute around 10 percent of India’s green hydrogen and ammonia production target by 2030.
Manikanta Naik, Managing Director of Tata Steel Special Economic Zone Limited, said GIP has already signed land leasing and blocking agreements with multiple green hydrogen players. These agreements will facilitate a total production capacity of 2 million tonnes per annum of green ammonia, with an estimated multi-phased investment of over Rs 27,000 crore.
