Drones, sniffer dogs deployed to trace missing tourists in Meghalaya

Shillong, May 28 (UNI) The fate of the missing newly married couple from Madhya Pradesh is still unknown, though the search operation continues, officials said on Wednesday.
The couple went missing on May 24 in Sohra, also known as Cherrapunjee, a popular tourist destination in Meghalaya.
Meghalaya police have intensified their search and rescue operation for 27-year-old Raja Raghuvanshi and his wife Sonam from Indore.

Manipur Congress Chief lambasts BJP government for flood mismanagement

Imphal, June 1 (UNI) Manipur Congress President Keisham Meghachandra Singh visited flood-affected areas of Heingang Assembly Constituency in Imphal East District, which is the constituency of former Chief Minister N Biren Singh, on Sunday.
K. Meghachandra said the Water Resources Department, Manipur, failed to control floods in various vulnerable areas of river banks of different rivers in Manipur. He said that residential and agricultural areas were already submerged by overflowing water from breach of river banks and overflow of rivers. He said that breach of river banks and overflow of rivers were due to incomplete construction of various retaining walls.
