Odisha secures Rs 8,417 crore investment potential during second day of UAE visit

Bhubaneswar, Sep 10 (UNI) Odisha attracted investment intents with a combined potential of Rs 8,417 crore and an employment potential of 14,310 jobs on the second day of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi’s UAE visit, as the state stepped up its engagement with investors, industry leaders and business institutions in Dubai.
The engagements resulted in the signing of five Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) and eight Investment Intents (IIFs), covering sectors including information technology and IT-enabled services, real estate, logistics, food processing, agro and food processing, steel and steel downstream, rare earths, chemicals, aluminium and the circular economy.
The day began with a high-level meeting between Majhi and Abdulla Bin Touq Al Marri, UAE Cabinet Member and Minister of Economy and Tourism and Chairman of the Council of International Investments.
