Bengal assembly issues disqualification notices to 10 Ritabrata camp MLAs ahead of bypolls

Kolkata, Sep 16 (UNI) The West Bengal Assembly Secretariat has issued notices to 10 MLAs belonging to the Ritabrata Banerjee-led rebel Trinamool Congress camp, asking why their membership should not be disqualified over alleged anti-party activities and violation of party discipline.
The notices, issued under the provisions of the anti-defection law, have given the MLAs seven days to submit their written replies.
The list includes Ritabrata Banerjee, Akhruzzaman, Sandipan Saha, Firhad Hakim and Arup Roy, among others.
