Jharkhand: Congress reviews preparations for Sep 26 Lok Bhavan march

Ranchi, Sep 19 (UNI) Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee president Keshav Mahto Kamlesh on Saturday reviewed preparations for the party's proposed September 26 march to Lok Bhavan against the MMDR amendment Bill and what it described as the Chanda Chori issue.
Kamlesh held a Zoom meeting with all district presidents and district in-charges to review preparations for the programme and directed them to ensure maximum participation.
He sought district-wise details of preparations, workers' participation and public outreach activities and asked party functionaries at the district, block and panchayat levels to intensify contact programmes.
The state Congress president directed district organisations to work in coordination and complete preparations while ensuring effective discharge of assigned responsibilities.
The meeting also decided to take the party's issues to the public through the media, social media and direct outreach ahead of the march.
Congress leaders said the party would put forward its position democratically on provisions of the MMDR amendment and issues concerning Jharkhand's mineral resources and revenue rights.
The party said the September 26 Lok Bhavan march would be organised as part of its campaign on these issues.
Congress state vice-president and media chairman Satish Paul Mujani, social media chairman Gajendra Singh and several district presidents and in-charges participated in the meeting.
