Rajnath Singh flags in expedition after climbers summit 20 unclimbed Ladakh peaks in 23 days

New Delhi, Sep 25 (UNI) Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday flagged-in a mountaineering expedition that scripted history by summiting 20 previously unclimbed peaks above 6,000 metres in Ladakh in just 23 days.
The expedition, led by Colonel Ranveer Singh Jamwal, comprised 20 highly skilled climbers from the National Institute of Mountaineering and Adventure Sports (NIMAS), Dirang, and achieved the first-ever recorded ascents of 20 unclimbed peaks in the Chamser-Lungser, Gyama Nala and Chokula areas of the Ladakh Range.
Interacting with the expedition team at the flag-in ceremony at Kartavya Bhavan-2 in New Delhi, Singh commended the climbers for their courage, determination and exceptional achievement, describing the feat as a demonstration of India's mountaineering excellence and leadership in adventure sports.
