Inaugural Satyarthi Fellowship launched, Dalai Lama sends special message

New Delhi, Sep 17 (UNI) The inaugural cohort of The Satyarthi Fellowship, comprising 25 young changemakers, was launched today during an event in New Delhi.
The Satyarthi Fellowship was launched today by Supreme Court Judge, Justice N. Kotiswar Singh, Justice A.K. Sikri, International Judge at the Singapore International Commercial Court, Ms. Gabriela Ramos, Former Assistant Director-General for Social and Human Sciences, UNESCO, Pavan Mamidi, Director of Social & Behaviour Change, Ashoka University, SMGC Advisory Members Sudhir Maheshwari and Sangeeta Maheshwari, TedX Founder Lara Stein, SMGC Founder, Nobel Peace Laureate Kailash Satyarthi, SMGC Co-Founder Sumedha Kailash, SMGC CEO Asmita Satyarthi, and the Fellows.
The keynote address at the event at Scope Auditorium was delivered by Nobel Peace Laureate Kailash Satyarthi, with a special message from the Dalai Lama, alongside addresses by Justice N. Kotishwar Singh, Gabriela Ramos, and Justice Arjan Kumar Sikri.
As the 25 Satyarthi Fellows begin their journey of compassionate leadership today, The Dalai Lama blessed them with a very special and heartwarming message of wisdom, hope and a shared responsibility towards humanity.
In his letter to the Fellows, he wrote: “A universal humanitarian approach to world problems, rooted in a sense of the oneness of humanity, seems the only sound basis for lasting peace.”
The Satyarthi Fellowship begins with a simple yet profound belief that compassion can move from an idea to action, and from individual action to collective change, The Satyarthi Movement for Global Compassion said.
