Nabin urges people to light ‘Aashirwad ka Diya’ for PM on his birthday

New Delhi, Sep 14 (UNI) Bharatiya Janata Party president Nitin Nabin on Monday appealed to people to light an ‘Aashirwad ka Diya’ at their homes on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday on September 17 and pray for his long life and good health. “Service to the people is service to the nation” has been the core guiding principle of PM Modi Ji’s life, he said, adding that under his leadership the country is moving forward with the vision of a ‘Viksit Bharat’.
“His remarkable 25-year journey, dedicated to public service and the commitment to nation-building as the head of government, has been truly unprecedented. His visionary leadership has given the country a new direction and greater strength. Today, as a result of the collective resolve he has inspired, we are moving rapidly towards the goal of a ‘Developed India @ 2047’.
“To express our best wishes for the country’s progressive journey and for the successful leadership of Modi Ji, let us, on the auspicious occasion of the Prime Minister’s birthday on September 17, light an ‘Aashirwad ka Diya’ (lamp of blessings) in our respective homes between 6 and 7 PM. Let us pray for his long life and good health and offer him our blessings and best wishes,” he said in a message on X
The BJP has announced a month-long ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ from September 17 to October 17 to mark Modi’s 25 years in public life, with programmes focusing on public participation, welfare outreach and youth engagement. The party will observe his birthday as ‘Seva Diwas’, with the ‘Aashirwad ka Diya’ programme and blood donation camps across the country.
Nabin said PM Modi, after taking over the leadership of the country, faced “very difficult circumstances” and formulated new policies, launched new programmes and introduced several schemes that brought about changes in the lives of ordinary people.
Lauding his leadership during the Covid pandemic, Nabin said the PM gave people the confidence that the country could move forward and “turn challenges into opportunities”. Nabin also highlighted initiatives for youth and women, saying efforts were made to make the country’s youth “self-reliant” and “economically independent” through startup initiatives, while women were given “dignity” and “self-reliance” through sanitation, toilet schemes and the Lakhpati Didi initiative.
Nabin also credited the PM with “uprooting” Naxalism from the country, saying its roots had affected more than 200 districts. The BJP chief said the country had remained under the “shadow of terrorism” and in an “atmosphere of fear” for a long time, but PM Modi gave a “strong response” to the threat. These changes have brought confidence into the lives of ordinary people and strengthened their faith in the country’s development trajectory, he said.UNI VS AAB
