BJP calls anti-CEC protest ‘competition of anarchy' between Rahul Gandhi, Arvind Kejriwal; plans stir against Congress’ sacked JNU MP

New Delhi, Oct 11 (UNI) As the INDIA Bloc prepared the next move and the protest called by the Cockroach Janata Party entered its second day, the BJP on Sunday accused both Congress and Aam Aadmi Party of indulging in “competition of anarchy to cover up their rejection by the electorate.”
The saffron party also announced a ‘Nari Shakti Hunkar Andolan’—a “massive protest march”—till Congress headquarters Indira Bhawan on Monday to oppose the “direct political protection being provided by Rahul Gandhi” to the Congress’s MP Angomcha Bimol Akoijam “accused of sexual exploitation”.
The Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) on Friday terminated the services of Prof Akoijam, accused of sexually harassing several female students, following an inquiry by the varsity’s internal committee. “Despite the university dismissing Congress MP Prof. Angomcha Bimol Akoijam in connection with the serious case of sexual exploitation involving 11 female students of JNU (Jawaharlal Nehru University), the Congress Party, under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi, has shamelessly come to his defence,” the BJP said
Launching a fierce attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal on their anti-CEC protests, BJP MP Bansuri Swaraj claimed that since Congress and AAP have failed to win the trust of the people, they are now resorting to finding excuses for their electoral setbacks rather than engaging in constructive politics.
“The country's revered voters have rejected Rahul Gandhi and the Congress party 99 times. It seems a competition in creating chaos and anarchy is emerging between Arvind Kejriwal and Rahul Gandhi. Whether it is the AAP or the Congress, the country’s voters have rejected both. Having failed to secure power through the people's mandate, they are now looking for excuses for their defeat,” she told media persons
Delhi on Saturday witnessed heightened security, mass detentions and a political showdown during the CJP-led protest demanding the resignation of CEC Gyanesh Kumar. Several Opposition leaders, including Kejriwal, former Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and MP John Brittas, were also detained.
Alleging that Delhi Police and BJP-RSS used violence against students and women during the CJP-led protest, Gandhi on Saturday announced that the INDIA bloc would take to the streets again on October 12. In his social media post on Saturday, the senior Congress leader also accused union Home Minister Amit Shah's Delhi Police of resorting to “thuggery” and allowing “RSS-BJP workers to perpetrate violence against women and youth.”
“Amit Shah's Delhi Police has not only resorted to thuggery itself but is also giving a free hand and encouragement to the real goons of the RSS-BJP to perpetrate violence against women and the youth,’ Gandhi claimed.
