BJP accuses Rahul Gandhi of ‘undermining democracy’

New Delhi, Oct 8 (UNI) The BJP on Thursday slammed Rahul Gandhi and the Congress, accusing them of “distrusting the Supreme Court’s handling of appeals related to the SIR exercise.”
Calling the ECI issue that INDIA Bloc has been raising a "dispute between the Gandhi-Vadra family and the people of India," BJP’s Pradeep Bhandari claimed the “Congress party is fighting against ‘We, the People of India’”
“This battle is between the Congress party, its workers and the Gandhi-Vadra family; and the people of India, who are silently witnessing the party’s hooliganism,” he said.
Bhandari said Gandhi has lost public trust, and was attacking democratic institutions. “The public lacks faith in him. That is why, unable to come to power democratically, he is attacking democracy,” he said.
Referring to an open letter by a group of 42 retired judges, warning against attempts to undermine the Election Commission and other institutions, Bhandari also questioned Rahul Gandhi’s faith in the Supreme Court. “Is Rahul Gandhi demonstrating a lack of faith in the Supreme Court by staging chaotic protests on the streets?” he said.UNI VS AAB
