ABVP win shows when youth stand with nation, none can mislead them: Harsh Malhotra

New Delhi, Sep 19 (UNI) Delhi BJP president Harsh Malhotra on Saturday said that the victory of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) in the Delhi University Students’ union (DUSU) elections 2026, is a victory of the nationalist resolve of the students of the national capital.
Malhotra said that ABVP's victory is not merely about winning posts, but it is also a defeat for those forces that wanted to turn the campus into a political battleground and mislead the youth in the name of Gen Z.
He said that these were the people "who wanted to put the flag of hatred in the hands of the youth instead of books", and who sought to bring the agenda of the so-called “tukde-tukde gang” into DU hostels by attempting to undermine the unity of the country.
"Delhi University students have sent out a clear message that national capital's youth no longer accepts politics based on false promises and foreign funding," he added.
He called ABVP’s victory, a resounding endorsement by students, of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of a “Developed India.”
"Delhi BJP wholeheartedly congratulates all the victorious office-bearers of ABVP. We are confident that ABVP workers will establish new benchmarks of education, values and service at Delhi University," Malhotra said.
Meanwhile, former Delhi state unit chief of the BJP, Virendra Sachdeva in his remarks on the ABVP win said that the victory shows what the youth thinks, that the youth is not confused or in any doubt, and knows that country's leadership is secure in PM Modi's hands.
