Rahul Gandhi, who once tore up own Govt’s Bill, disrespected SC dignity: Malhotra

New Delhi, Oct 12 (UNI) Delhi BJP president Harsh Malhotra on Monday said that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, who once tore up a bill brought by his own government, had disrespected the dignity of the Supreme Court, proving that he had become the most anarchic leader in the country.
The Delhi BJP chief said that a few days ago, Rahul Gandhi had announced plans to meet the Chief Justice of India regarding the Chief Election Commissioner, claiming that an appointment was sought with him.
The Chief Justice of India had declined to meet the leaders of the INDIA alliance on, citing the established rules and procedures.
Malhotra further said that despite this, allegedly at Rahul Gandhi’s instigation, INDIA alliance leaders, to the likes of Tejashwi Yadav, and others, arrived near the Supreme Court in the evening, after court hours, which the BJP leader described as a theatrical march.
The Delhi BJP chief said that the reality is that in India, no constitutional office ranks higher than that of the President of India, and by seeking an appointment with the Chief Justice of India after meeting the President, Rahul Gandhi had shown disrespect towards both high constitutional offices.
The INDIA alliance has also announced to file a petition before the Supreme Court against the CEC, however, by disrespecting the dignity of the apex court and the CJI in the manner the Congress leader did today, Rahul Gandhi has forfeited the moral right to file a petition before SC, Malhotra added.
