Hundreds of protestors detained trying to reach Jantar Mantar despite denial of permission, while heart of the city looked like fortress

New Delhi, Oct 10 (UNI) Police on Saturday detained hundreds of protestors as they tried to reach Jantar Mantar on CJP’s protest call, despite no permission being granted by the authorities citing law and order, a very short notice given for the proposed demonstration, and security concerns.
Those protestors who showed up, headed towards Jantar Mantar despite being told by the security personnel to leave due to rejection of permission. They ultimately had to be detained and taken away, as prohibitory orders were in force in the area.
Meanwhile, CJP leader Abhijeet Dipke was detained in view of the protest call given by the Cockroach Janta Party at Jantar Mantar, which was not permitted, while during the day, the sad news regarding the passing away of his grandmother was received and was immediately shared with him and the time of cremation was intimated to him.
