Gurugram bans drones, paragliders on Oct 7 ahead of Amit Shah’s visit

Gurugram, Oct 6 (UNI) The Gurugram district administration has prohibited the use of drones, paragliders and other unmanned aerial vehicles across the district on October 7 as part of security arrangements for union Home Minister Amit Shah’s visit, according to an order issued by District Magistrate Uttam Singh on Tuesday.
The order, issued under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023, follows a communication from the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Headquarters) regarding Shah’s scheduled visit to the Maharana Pratap Swarna Jayanti Udyan (Leisure Valley) in Gurugram. The prohibition will remain in force throughout Gurugram district on October 7.
Equipment being used for official government purposes has been exempted from the restriction. The District Magistrate has directed the Deputy Commissioners of Police concerned to ensure strict compliance with the order under the supervision of the Gurugram Commissioner of Police. Anyone violating the order will be liable to prosecution and punishment under Section 223 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, and other applicable laws and rules, according to the order.
Shah will be the chief guest at the “Viksit Bharat Sankalp Sabha-Seva Jyoti Yatra” programme at Maharana Pratap Swarna Jayanti Udyan, while Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini will preside over the event. 233 Donate Blood at Ambala Cantt Mega Camp Under ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’

Ambala, Oct 6 (UNI) As many as 233 people donated blood at a mega donation camp organised by the BJP’s Sadar and Shastri mandals at Farukha Khalsa School in Ambala Cantt on Tuesday as part of the month-long ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ being observed from September 17 to October 17 to mark 25 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s public service.
Haryana Energy, Transport and Labour Minister Anil Vij, who inaugurated the camp, announced that each blood donor would receive an honorarium of ₹1,100 from his discretionary fund as a token of appreciation.
