Saini engages Punjab-origin business leaders in Singapore, calls for greater investment

Panchkula, Oct 7 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini engaged with Punjab-origin industrialists and business representatives in Singapore, encouraging increased investment, employment, and development in Punjab while highlighting Haryana's industrial progress.
Saini stated he had a "meaningful dialogue" with Punjab-origin industrialists and business representatives during his Singapore visit, emphasising the value of their international experience.
"Your experiences are important for us as you bring pride to India through your hard work and talent," Saini said. He also invited the business representatives to visit Sant Kabir Kutir, the Chief Minister's official residence in Chandigarh.
This interaction was part of Saini's Singapore investment outreach, during which the Haryana government sought overseas investment and technology partnerships across various sectors.
In a post on X, Saini stated that Haryana is strengthening its position in industry, investment, and employment under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, citing expanded infrastructure, industrial growth, and new investment opportunities.
Addressing Punjab, Saini emphasised the need to accelerate development and create new investment and employment opportunities in alignment with Modi's "Viksit Bharat" vision.
"Punjab's rich heritage needs a new direction to ensure prosperity, security, and happiness. Positive change is necessary," Saini said.
These remarks are politically significant, as the Haryana Chief Minister presented his development agenda to Punjab-origin entrepreneurs abroad.
Saini also mentioned the construction of the Kartarpur Sahib Corridor and Haryana's initiative to provide government jobs to dependents of victims of the 1984 anti-Sikh violence.
The Chief Minister stated that Haryana has expanded modern infrastructure and industrial opportunities and is working to create more jobs through new investment.
His engagement with the Punjab-origin business community was part of a broader Singapore outreach, where Haryana sought investment and technology partnerships in healthcare, water management, education, skill development, and other sectors.
