UP: Brahmin disciples perform 'Dugdhabhishek' in Kashi on PM Modi's 76th birthday

Varanasi, Sep 17 (UNI) Young Brahmins from Kashi, his parliamentary constituency, performed a 'milk-ablution ceremony' (Dugdhabhishek) while worshipping the river Ganga and reciting Vedic chants on the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 76th birthday, praying for his long and healthy life.
At a program organised under the auspices of the Brahmin community at Ahilyabai Ghat, Ganga river was worshipped with Vedic chants.
Following this, 76 young Brahmins from Shri Annapurna Rishikul Brahmacharya Ashram and Shri Shastrarth Mahavidyalaya, under the leadership of Acharya Udit Narayan Mishra, anointed river Ganga with 76 liters of saffron-infused water and milk.
On this special occasion, Chief Guest Dr. Neelkanth Tiwari, former Minister of State and MLA from City South, said, "Today is also the birth anniversary of Lord Vishwakarma, the divine architect. Therefore, it will not be an exaggeration to call PM Modi the "architect of modern India"."
He stated that the PM's visionary leadership, which prioritises national interests, is based on the spirit of "Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, and Sabka Prayas."
Event coordinator, senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader, and President of the Brahmin Samaj, Dr. Pawan Kumar Shukla, said, "Since becoming PM, Narendra Modi has given a new direction to the development of Kashi. The construction of Kashi Vishwanath Dham, the beautification of the ghats, improved connectivity, and the development of infrastructure have transformed Kashi."

Moreover, he added that the PM's vision for the Ganga river is linked not only to "faith and cultural heritage, but also to its conservation and cleanliness".

HP school education board warns 129 state open school study centres for not conducting PCP classes

Dharamshala, Sep 17 (UNI) The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE) has taken strict action against 129 State Open School (SOS) study centres for failing to conduct mandatory Personal Contact Programme (PCP) classes for students enrolled in the September 2026 session.
Board Chairman Dr Rajesh Sharma said all study centres had already been directed to conduct PCP classes for newly enrolled students and those opting for additional subjects.
