Haryana: 45,207 active criminals tracked, over 26,000 verified under intelligence-based system

Panchkula, Sep 14 (UNI) Haryana Police has prepared a database of 45,207 active criminals and verified the current status of 26,026 of them, or 57.57 per cent, as part of an intelligence-based crime monitoring exercise aimed at identifying active offenders, tracking their networks and enabling preventive action before crimes occur.
The verification exercise, conducted under the RJSF pattern, covers the period from February 1 to August 25. Of the 26,026 criminals whose status has been verified, 7,425 were found at their registered addresses, 1,612 were in jail, and 375 were found to have died, according to Haryana Police.
The police are now undertaking verification of the remaining 19,137 criminals on priority, with the stated objective of maintaining updated information on every identified active criminal and enabling timely intervention wherever required.

HP school education board warns 129 state open school study centres for not conducting PCP classes

Dharamshala, Sep 17 (UNI) The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE) has taken strict action against 129 State Open School (SOS) study centres for failing to conduct mandatory Personal Contact Programme (PCP) classes for students enrolled in the September 2026 session.
Board Chairman Dr Rajesh Sharma said all study centres had already been directed to conduct PCP classes for newly enrolled students and those opting for additional subjects.
