Man facing 11 drug cases arrested with 65 gm heroin near hospital in Yamunanagar

Yamunanagar, Oct 25 (UNI) Police arrested a man facing trial in 11 previous drug trafficking cases after allegedly recovering 65 grams of heroin from his possession at the Civil Hospital parking area, officials said on Sunday.
A police spokesperson identified the accused as Arshdeep alias Golu, a resident of Azad Nagar. Acting on a tip-off about suspected drug sales in the hospital parking area, an Anti-Narcotics Cell team conducted a raid and recovered the contraband during a search carried out in the presence of
a duty magistrate.
The spokesperson said the accused had previously been booked in 11 drug-related cases, all pending trial. The operation was conducted by a team led by ASI Amit Kumar under Anti-Narcotics Cell in-charge Anil Kumar. The accused was initially taken on police remand for questioning and subsequently sent to judicial custody. Further investigation is underway, police said.
