Haryana Police arrest three over brutal attack on two men after row over food packing in Gurugram

Panchkula, Sep 20 (UNI) Haryana Police have arrested three men for allegedly attacking two youths with a bamboo stick and an iron rod following an argument over getting food packed quickly at an eatery in Gurugram, leaving the victims seriously injured, a spokesperson said on Sunday.
The incident occurred on September 17 night when the complainant and his friend had gone to Shyam Rasoi to get food. An altercation allegedly broke out with employees of Daily Bite Cafe over a request to pack the food quickly.
Police said the dispute escalated and the cafe operator, along with his associates, allegedly assaulted the complainant and his friend with sticks and an iron rod.
Following a written complaint submitted on September 19, a case was registered at Sector 14 police station, Gurugram, under the relevant provisions of law.
Acting on the complaint, a police team arrested three accused from the Sector 14 police station area on Sunday. They were identified as Ankur, 25, of Khanpur Khorda in Jhajjar district; Deepak Kumar, 24, of Hoshiarpur in Punjab; and Naresh Kumar, 20, also of Hoshiarpur.
During questioning, the accused allegedly disclosed that the assault followed the argument over getting the food packed quickly, the spokesperson said.
Police recovered a bamboo stick from Ankur and an iron rod from Deepak, which were allegedly used in the assault.
