Rs 800 crore crypto fraud accused arrested in Saharanpur

Saharanpur, April 12 (UNI) In a major crackdown, the Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force has arrested a man accused of orchestrating a massive Rs 800 crore crypto investment scam.
The accused, Jitendra Ram, a resident of Rampur Kamboiyan village in Saharanpur, allegedly lured investors through a fake trading platform and mobile app named “MT-5.”
Initially, the app displayed fake profits to gain users’ trust. Later, the platform was abruptly shut down, leaving investors defrauded. A case was registered against him in Ghaziabad, after which STF began tracking him.
