Defence Ministry notifies NDA-II 2026 rules for 394 vacancies, including 24 for women

New Delhi, Sep 30 (UNI) The Defence Ministry has notified the rules for admission to the 158th National Defence Academy (NDA) course and the 120th Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC), with 394 vacancies — 370 for men and 24 for women — for courses commencing on July 1, 2027, according to an Extraordinary Gazette notification published on Wednesday.
The rules relate to the National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination (II), 2026, conducted by the union Public Service Commission (UPSC). The notification states that the examination was scheduled for September 13, 2026, with the Commission empowered to change the date if necessary.
Of the total vacancies, the NDA Army wing has 208 seats, comprising 198 for men and 10 for women. The Navy has 42 vacancies, including five for women, while the Air Force flying branch has 92 seats, including two for women.
