Haryana delegation in Singapore: Discussions on mixed land use and land prices

Chandigarh, Oct 7(UNI) A delegation of senior Haryana government officials held an important meeting in Singapore with senior officials from the Singapore Corporation Enterprise and the government. Issues related to the mixed land use policy and land pricing were discussed in detail.
The primary objective of the meeting was to understand experiences and best practices related to land management and mixed land use systems adopted in Singapore and identify aspects relevant to Haryana's circumstances. According to the government, this dialogue could significantly contribute to improving land management and pricing policies for upcoming projects in the state.
Specifically, the meeting discussed possible measures to streamline and streamline land leasing policies for the Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) and various industrial areas. Furthermore, the meeting focused on understanding Singapore's experiences to make township development in the rapidly developing Gurugram more planned, modern, and tailored to the long-term needs.
The Haryana government is focused on strengthening policies related to land management, industrial development, and urban planning in line with changing economic needs. Studying Singapore's experiences is considered an important step in this direction. This could help establish better coordination between land use, industrial development, and urban expansion.
The meeting also stressed that land policies should be transparent, investment-friendly and strong in the long term, so that industries and investors can get a clear system and unnecessary complexities in the implementation of projects can be reduced.
Recent dialogues between Haryana and Singapore have also included extensive discussions on cooperation in areas such as urban development, infrastructure, technology, education, skill development, and water management. During Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini's visit to Singapore, the Singapore model of modern urban planning and industrial development was also studied.
The Government believes that better coordination between international practices and local needs of Haryana can create a more conducive environment for industrial expansion, modern township development and investment in the State.
