UP govt’s green mobility initiative gains momentum as Noida E-Bus depot records strong performance

Noida/Lucknow, Sep 15 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s vision of promoting green mobility and modern, sustainable public transport is gaining momentum, with the Noida Electric Bus Depot recording strong operational and revenue performance.
According to officials, during the first 13 days of September, the depot’s fleet of 100 electric buses covered 2.96 lakh kilometres, carried more than 1.99 lakh passengers, and generated revenue of over ₹61.75 lakh. The depot’s average daily performance during the period was higher than that recorded in August across key parameters, including kilometres operated, passenger footfall and revenue per bus.
Since the commencement of regular operations on June 20, 2026, and up to September 13, 2026, e-buses operated by the three authorities have collectively covered more than 15.12 lakh kilometres and served over 7.18 lakh passengers, generating total revenue of more than ₹2.24 crore.
