Seva Sankalp Abhiyan to be launched on Sep 17 in Haryana: minister Krishna Kumar Bedi

Kaithal, Sep 15 (UNI) Haryana's Social Justice and Empowerment Minister, Krishan Kumar Bedi, today announced that a "Seva Sankalp Abhiyan" dedicated to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 25 years of service and his resolve for a developed India will be launched.
This campaign, which will run for a full month from September 17 to October 17, will feature various activities inspired by the spirit of "public service is service to God."
Minister was addressing a press conference at Kapil Kamal's office regarding the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan. District President Jyoti Saini and other officials were present with him on this occasion.
Bedi said that on October 7, 2001, Narendra Modi was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Gujarat for the first time. After this, in the last 25 years, he has continuously served the country and society by remaining in public life. From presenting a strong model of development in Gujarat to the resolve to make India a developed nation, the Prime Minister has made tireless hard work, good governance and public welfare his priority.
He informed that on September 17, the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a nationwide programme called "Aashirwad Ka Diya" (Lighting of Ashirwads) will be organized. Diyas will be lit at 7 p.m. at the booth level, and especially in the homes of beneficiaries of various government welfare schemes. Blood donation camps will also be organized at various locations.
Meanwhile, under the "India of My Dreams - Picture Service" activity, speech and painting competitions will be held in schools. Similarly, under the "Namo Seva - Untold Stories" activity, street plays will be staged showcasing 25 years of public service, welfare schemes, and developmental change. Under "Angan Milan Seva" (Angan Milan Seva), three-day programmes will be organized at Anganwadi centres. Under "Stories of Service," success stories will be created on the changes brought about by welfare schemes during the Prime Minister's tenure.
He stated that under the Seva Jyoti Kalash Yatra, processions will be taken out from all the blocks of the district, which will converge at one location. A district-level programme will be held there. Similarly, under the "Seva Mera Yogdan" campaign, cleanliness drives and blood donation drives, among other activities, will be organized. Under the Seva Setu campaign, camps will be set up in all blocks, where the public will be provided with benefits under various schemes.
He said that on October 2, Mahatma Gandhi's birth anniversary, a wreath will be laid on his statue and a massive cleanliness drive will be launched. Other activities will also be organized.
The Minister said that in the last 25 years, many important works have been accomplished in the field of good governance and public welfare. Through the Jal Jeevan Mission, clean drinking water has been delivered to every household. Through the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, women have been provided with access to cooking gas.
He said that through the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, pucca houses are being provided to needy families, and through the Ayushman Yojana, free treatment is being provided to the poor and needy. Employment is being provided to the youth without any cost or prescription.
Bedi stated that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, unprecedented development has taken place in the country and the state in the areas of roads, national highways, and railways. The central government has fulfilled the long-standing demand of veterans for One Rank One Pension. Furthermore, the country's security has been strengthened by adopting a zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism. He also noted the construction of the Shri Ram Temple and the removal of Articles 370 and 35A from Jammu and Kashmir.
He appealed to the public to participate enthusiastically in the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan and to light a lamp of blessings in their homes on September 17.
Manish Sharma Faral, Jangir Sisla, Shakti Sauda, Himanshu Goyal, Avdesh Kishore, Asha Rani, Seema Valmiki, Naresh Sajuma, Yashpal, and other officials were present on the occasion.

HP school education board warns 129 state open school study centres for not conducting PCP classes

Dharamshala, Sep 17 (UNI) The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE) has taken strict action against 129 State Open School (SOS) study centres for failing to conduct mandatory Personal Contact Programme (PCP) classes for students enrolled in the September 2026 session.
Board Chairman Dr Rajesh Sharma said all study centres had already been directed to conduct PCP classes for newly enrolled students and those opting for additional subjects.
