In a first, FICCI FLO hosts Jammu to Srinagar women-led EV rally to promote sustainable tourism

Jammu, Sep 25 (UNI) With an objective of promoting sustainable tourism in Jammu and Kashmir and highlighting the potential of electric mobility that is ecologically sensitive and where tourism is a major contributor to the economy, the FICCI FLO (women's wing of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry) Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh on Friday flagged off a first-ever women-led Electric Vehicle (EV) Rally here from the TRC Complex.
The rally, flagged off by Arun Manhas, Director, Industries and Commerce, Jammu, along with Aijaz Qaiser Malik, Joint Director, Tourism, Jammu, in the presence of members of FICCI FLO JKL and other stakeholders, witnessed the participation of 22 women across 10 electric cars.
FICCI FLO JKL aims to demonstrate how green mobility, environmental sustainability and tourism can go hand in hand to create a more responsible and future-ready tourism ecosystem for Jammu and Kashmir.
