Dehradun, June 3 (UNI) Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Tuesday ordered suspension of 10 officials, including two IAS and one PCS officer, and terminated the service extensions of two others in a land scam in Haridwar's Nagar Nigam.
The suspended officials include Karmendra Singh, the then administrator and current district magistrate, Varun Chaudhary, the then municipal commissioner, Ajayveer Singh, the then sub-divisional magistrate, Nikita Bisht, senior finance officer, Vicky, senior personal assistant and Rajesh Kumar, registrar Lawgo, and Kamal Das, chief administrative officer of Haridwar Tehsil.
The CM has directed the Vigilance Department to conduct a thorough investigation into the matter to ensure transparency and identify the entire chain of culprits. The sale deeds related to the land scam have been cancelled, and strict instructions have been issued to recover the money given to the landowners.
