Himachal CM dedicates 21 development projects worth Rs 136.25 cr in Mandi

Shimla, September 26 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Saturday inaugurated and laid foundation stones of 21 development projects worth Rs 136.25 crore covering Balh, Nachan, Mandi Sadar and Karsog Assembly constituencies of Mandi district. The projects, inaugurated and launched at Kansa ground in Balh during the Chief Minister’s one-day visit, include works related to road connectivity, drinking water, healthcare, education, rural development and administrative infrastructure. Sukhu inaugurated several major road projects, including metalling and tarring works on the Chandyal-Pipli-Kuthwari-Kandi-Tarapur-Kharsi-Mansa Mata Mandir-Dola Tikkar road at a cost of Rs 10.73 crore and the Sakroha-Naina Mata Mandir-Pipli-Nadaul-Kausala-Malwana road costing Rs 8.28 crore. He also inaugurated the Rs 5.11 crore Lakhvan-Dahanu-Bhanshot-Rathol-Andreta-Meramsit road, Rs 3.08 crore Tanda-Kohla-Tikkari-Kawalkot-Sidhkothi road via Baba Balak Nath Mandir and Rs 3.51 crore Doyda Pul-Chhajwan-Khabu Panchayat Ghar-Dusra Khabu-Darviyas road. Among other major infrastructure projects inaugurated were the Rs 2.08 crore Public Works Department Division Office building at Nerchowk and upgradation of the Nerchowk-Ratti-Kalkhar road at a cost of Rs 25.89 crore. The Chief Minister also inaugurated an Ayurvedic Health Centre building at Behna costing Rs 32 lakh and a Veterinary Dispensary building at Koth at a cost of Rs 23 lakh.
In the water supply sector, he inaugurated a Rs 43.91 crore Lift Water Supply Scheme to habitations under the IPH Sub-Division Rewalsar in Balh tehsil and a Rs 17.01 crore Lift Water Supply Scheme covering Bahli-Mahadev and Neri Kangar, Panyas under PIU Division Mandi. Other inaugurated projects included a Rs 4.42 crore Government Primary School building at Bal, Panchayat Ghars at Dahnu and Malthehar costing Rs 38 lakh each, and the Rs 25 lakh Mandav Gramin Haat at Pandoh (Seog). Patwarkhana buildings at PC Rajwadi in Balh tehsil and PC Karsog in Karsog tehsil, costing Rs 12 lakh each, were also inaugurated.
Sukhu laid foundation stones for a Rs 50 lakh Ayurvedic Health Centre building at Halyatar, Rs 1.41 crore Type-I and Type-II staff quarters at Kangni and a Rs 1.15 crore Panchayat Samudayik Kendra at Ratti under Development Block Balh.
